I imagine hybrid creatures that don't actually exist but seem strangely familiar. Since 2017, I have been building a world of small, unnoticed lives, expanding my perspective from isolated individuals to colonies, and then to the microscopic landscapes they inhabit. I work across various media—painting, drawing, printmaking, digital prints, papier-mâché, and ceramics—with a collage approach. This is a way of inventing the present moment by embodying the diverse encounters from my surroundings. I examine tiny creatures and individual cells, attempting to feel their presence, and I want to reveal how beings with their own unique vitality depend on and relate to each other. Through the experience of living as a small part of the world, permeating into the landscape, I pursue an ideal where everything is connected and interdependent.
