PROJECTS * Graduation project : Autonomous Shelf Lift Robot o Led a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and deploy an autonomous warehouse robot for lifting and transporting shelves. o Designed a durable mechanical frame; supervised manufacturing and assembly with focus on strength and precision. o Performed power analysis, selected batteries, and developed a PCB for power distribution and sensor integration. o Created URDF model and Gazebo simulation with IMU, LiDAR, camera, and actuator plugins. o Implemented autonomous navigation using ROS Navigation Stack (AMCL, costmaps, DWA planner) for obstacle avoidance and goal tracking. o Applied SLAM and AMCL localization with LiDAR and odometry; integrated modules using Dijkstra's Algorithm for path planning and obstacle avoidance. Machine Vision: Face Recognition & Image Classification o Developed CNN-based autoencoders and eigenfaces for facial recognition. o Applied HOG, LBP, and color histograms for image classification. o Optimized SVM, KNN, and K-means models for improved performance. • Computational Intelligence: Neural Network Optimization o Compared optimizers (SGD, RMSProp, Nadam, NAG) on CIFAR-10. o Implemented step and exponential decay learning rates. o Designed a shallow CNN for accuracy and speed improvements. • Sales Forecasting (Walmart Dataset) o Built and optimized time-series forecasting models (XGBoost & Random Forest) with feature engineering (lags, rolling stats, seasonality, holiday effects). o Applied time-aware validation and evaluated models using RMSE, R², and WMAPE for realistic forecasting performance.
