DaVinci Resolve Colorist | Film, Commercial & YouTube Color Grading

Flat, mismatched, or inconsistent footage can make a strong edit still feel unfinished. Mixed cameras, changing lighting, uneven exposure, color casts, or skin tones that shift from shot to shot can all pull attention away from the story. As a colorist, my job is to bring those images into one visual world without taking away what makes each scene feel different. I work in DaVinci Resolve Studio, handling both color correction and creative color grading. I start by balancing exposure and white balance, matching shots and cameras, refining natural skin tones, controlling contrast, reducing noise where needed, and fixing local problems before shaping the final look. From there, the grade becomes less about correction and more about direction. Contrast, warmth, saturation, and palette all affect how an image feels, so I use them deliberately to support the story, performance, or brand rather than making the grade compete with it. The result should feel intentional and cohesive without looking unnecessarily over-graded. I’m Mark, a dedicated DaVinci Resolve Studio colorist working with filmmakers, production teams, agencies, brands, and independent creators across narrative films, commercials, branded content, music videos, interviews, and YouTube projects. My recent color grading work has included matching footage from five different cameras into one consistent finish, bringing modern LOG footage and much older material together across a series of films, grading narrative footage through changing locations and lighting under a tight deadline, and correcting repeated talking-head content with strong baked-in color casts while keeping skin and overall balance consistent from video to video. I’m comfortable working with LOG and RAW footage, mixed-camera projects, difficult lighting, long-form edits, and material with limited latitude. Depending on the project, the work can include shot matching, skin-tone refinement, tracked local corrections, noise reduction, look development, and final finishing. My focus is color rather than general video editing, so I can step into an existing post-production workflow once the cut is ready and concentrate on giving the project a clean, controlled, and consistent final image. If the edit is working but the footage still feels uneven, disconnected, too flat, or simply unfinished, that’s the part of the process I’m here to solve.
