Desktop Application Developer | Rust, Tauri, Qt C++ | AI Integrations
Most software today runs in a browser tab. I build the other kind: real desktop applications that install, run fast, and feel native on Windows, macOS, and Linux. My main stack is Rust with Tauri, and I also work with Qt 6 and C++. Compared to Electron, the apps I build are a fraction of the size, start instantly, and use very little memory. That difference matters when your users keep the app open all day. I handle the whole process end to end. Architecture, the interface in React and TypeScript, native OS integration, installers for every platform, code signing, and automatic updates through CI/CD. You get a finished product, not a codebase you still need to figure out how to ship. And if your project grows beyond a one person job, that is not a problem. I work with a small trusted circle of developers I can bring in, so the project scales without you having to hire and manage anyone new. I also integrate AI into applications where it genuinely helps. Document assistants that suggest edits you can review and accept, voice agents for client workflows, and automations connecting tools like Zapier and Monday CRM. My rule is simple: AI should feel like part of the product, not a chatbot bolted on the side. Everything I claim here, you can check. I maintain open source desktop tools with real users, including a Markdown editor called Paperling with a few thousand downloads and an active community. My GitHub is linked on this profile. Look at the code, the releases, and the changelogs. How I work is simple. We agree on a clear scope first. You get working builds as progress updates, not status reports. And the code you receive at the end is clean, documented, and fully yours. If you have a desktop tool in mind, an Electron app that has grown too heavy, or a product that needs AI built in properly, send me a short note about it. I will come back with a concrete plan, not a copy pasted pitch.
