I'm a design engineer with over 5 years of experience working on product design, rapid prototyping, and design validation. I have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and I have a passion for CAD modeling, 3D printing and metal fabrication. I'm currently employed in the automotive aftermarket industry and I run my business, Fairbairn Engineering LLC, as an evening job, not full time. I provide CAD design services, engineering services for system and component creation and evaluation, and have a growing list of fabrication capabilities to provide prototyping services. My previous projects include design and prototyping for: - Motorsports components (roll cages, suspension parts, mounting brackets, body work, etc.) - Truck accessories (truck bed cover, cargo management, roof racks, etc.) - Remodeling/reverse engineering of existing parts - Sheet metal component design (bent and formed)
