I’m a nonfiction and memoir ghostwriter and developmental book editor. DEVELOPMENTAL BOOK EDITING If you already have a manuscript, I can help you determine what is working, what is getting in the way, and what needs to change. My editing work can cover developmental editing, manuscript evaluation, restructuring, chapter organization, pacing, voice, consistency, line editing, copy editing, and proofreading. The goal is not to make your writing sound “fancier.” It is to make the book clearer, stronger, and more effective without taking away your voice. HOW I WORK Every book starts differently. You may have a complete outline. You may have 40,000 messy words. You may have hours of recordings and conversations. Or you may only have an idea that you know could become a book. We start with what you actually have. Depending on the project, that can involve interviews, research, positioning, outlining, chapter development, ghostwriting, rewriting, and editing. For larger projects, I prefer establishing the direction and structure before writing the full manuscript. That way, we are not spending thousands of words building the wrong book. I also use modern writing and research tools where they genuinely improve the workflow. But tools are not a substitute for understanding the author or making strong editorial decisions.
