Ashley A.

I help children's book authors and animation studios bring characters to life. From page to screen. As a children's book illustrator, I work with self-publishing authors and established authors alike to create illustrations that capture a story's heart while staying true to its voice. I understand what makes young readers (and the parents reading to them) connect with a book: consistent characters, expressive emotion, and a style that fits the story's age group and tone. As a 2D Character Designer, I bring the same eye for personality and appeal to animation. I design characters built for production: clear silhouettes, consistent proportions, and expressions that read instantly, whether for a pitch bible, a pilot episode, or a full series. What I bring to every project: ✅A strong grasp of visual storytelling: characters and scenes that do narrative work, not just decoration. ✅Consistency across a full project, from page 1 to page 32, or model sheet to final frame. ✅Collaborative process: I listen first, sketch fast, and refine based on your feedback. ✅Reliable delivery within agreed timelines, with clear communication throughout. Whether you're a first-time author publishing your debut picture book or an art director building out a new animated series, I'd love to help shape the characters your audience will remember. Let's talk about your project!
