Does this traction mean anything yet? Can this team get the company to the next round? If one of those checks fails, he passes politely. "Too early for us." And you have no idea which parts to fix. Restructure the deck, organize the information and shorten sections where needed 2. Improve how the story is presented and make the value proposition and business opportunity clear 3. Simplify complex ideas and make them easy to understand 4. Turn text-heavy slides into diagrams, charts or timelines 5. Turn it all into a polished and investor-ready deck you can still edit in PowerPoint I don't start with a generic story-first, design-second formula. I start with the questions above. The market, the traction, the team. Those decide if you get a second investor meeting, so we answer them first and we answer them clearly. That only works if I understand you and your company. So expect to have a proper conversation before I start. Your investor deck has to sound like you, not me. I don't reinvent the wheel either. Pitch decks have a common structure, investors know it, investors want it. What I change is priority. Some startups need traction on slide 4, some on slide 11. DISCLAIMER: Fundraising isn't Shark Tank. You're not on a stage getting torn apart by an investor panel. Most of the time it's two people and a coffee. So your pitch deck doesn't need to impress anyone. It needs to hold up when the investor asks a question. When you work with me, you work with me.
