Earlier in my career, I worked as a freelance tour guide in Thailand, leading international groups and coordinating multi-day itineraries. This gave me firsthand experience managing travelers, transportation, accommodations, activities, cultural differences, and unexpected situations on the ground. I speak English, Mandarin Chinese, and Thai, and my Elysia Travel team also offers Spanish-language support. Executive-Level Organization: My background also includes senior operations leadership, where I manage cross-functional teams, projects, schedules, vendors, customer service, budgets, and international business relationships. Luxury Travel & Hospitality Experience: Experience planning and booking travel with leading hospitality and cruise brands including Four Seasons, Fairmont, Raffles, Accor, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, InterContinental, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Silversea, and Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, along with Disney and Universal destinations. When Travel Doesn't Go as Planned On a trip to Greece with a close friend and her sister, we discovered just six hours before our flight that her passport had expired. Instead of giving up on the trip, I immediately researched the options, helped her navigate the emergency passport process, and reorganized the travel arrangements so she could catch up with us. She obtained a new passport within one day and successfully joined us in Greece just a few hours later. What could have ended the trip became one of our best trips—and one of our favorite stories to tell. It reminds me why I love travel planning: when something goes wrong, I stay calm, look for solutions, and keep trying when there is still a way forward. Experiences like this have taught me that great travel coordination isn't only about creating a beautiful itinerary. It's also about staying calm, finding solutions, and keeping the journey moving when the unexpected happens.
