Omar I.
Embedded Firmware & IoT Engineer | ESP32, MQTT, Python , BLE | PLC
Connecting hardware to the cloud shouldn't require three different freelancers. I build complete IoT and embedded systems — from sensors, microcontrollers, and Raspberry Pi gateways to MQTT, BLE, industrial protocols, cloud backends, dashboards, and AI automation. Most IoT projects don't fail because of one bad component. They fail at the integration points: unreliable device communication, gateway disconnects, mismatched data structures, firmware edge cases, or a cloud platform that doesn't understand what's happening at the hardware layer. That's where I specialize. What I build: • Embedded & Edge Systems: ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Teensy, sensors, actuators, Linux edge devices, C/C++ and Python • Industrial IoT: Modbus RTU/TCP, RS-485, CAN, PLC integration, MQTT gateways, equipment monitoring and protocol translation • Wireless & Connectivity: BLE/BlueZ, Wi-Fi, MQTT, TCP/IP, REST APIs, WebSockets and device-to-cloud communication • Edge AI & Computer Vision: OpenCV, industrial cameras, inspection systems, local image processing and edge inference • IoT Cloud & Backend: AWS IoT, MQTT brokers, Python services, Django/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker and real-time dashboards • Automation & AI Integration: n8n, webhooks, APIs, LLM integrations and automated data-processing workflows • Robotics & Control: motor control, sensor integration, real-time control, embedded robotics and SDK-based hardware integration I have worked on systems involving industrial machine vision, BLE sensor platforms, distributed Raspberry Pi devices, Modbus monitoring, robotics, wearable sensors, MQTT gateways and edge-to-cloud IoT architectures. My focus is reliability beyond the prototype. That means reconnect and recovery logic, proper error handling, logging, hardware/software fault isolation, clean architecture and documentation — not just getting the demo to work once. Because I work across both hardware and software, I can trace a problem through the entire chain: Sensor → Firmware → Protocol → Gateway → Cloud → Dashboard So when something fails, you don't need three different developers blaming each other's part of the system. If you're building a connected product, industrial IoT system, Raspberry Pi/ESP32 solution, or debugging an edge-to-cloud system that almost works but isn't reliable yet, send me a message with your hardware and current architecture.
