I'm a Shanghai-based video editor and colorist working primarily in DaVinci Resolve. My work spans commercial filmmaking, branded content, fashion, motorsport, and documentary-style storytelling. I approach editing and color grading as two connected parts of the same creative process. Good post-production isn't about adding more effects — it's about understanding the footage, finding the right rhythm, and building a consistent visual language. VIDEO EDITING I've edited commercial and branded projects including Skandinavisk × Mecca, Bear Fitness, OPPEIN Home, AMMODELS Fashion BTS, and motorsport content, alongside a wide range of talking-head and interview videos. My editing approach focuses on storytelling, pacing, shot selection, and natural visual continuity. I believe the strongest edits often come from knowing what to leave out rather than what to add. COLOR GRADING As a colorist, I believe color should be shaped by the photography, not imposed on top of it. Lighting, exposure, production design, and camera characteristics all influence how an image should be graded. I use secondary corrections, masking, and tracking when necessary, but never simply for the sake of using them. My current workflow often involves a film-based negative-to-print pipeline. This doesn't necessarily mean creating a traditional "film look" — it's about controlling contrast, color relationships, and tonal separation in a more deliberate way. I've also developed custom LUTs and PowerGrades for short films. BRAND CONTENT & SOCIAL MEDIA I also work with RNA Analytics on its WeChat official account in China, including account setup, content publishing, video uploads, branded visuals, and ongoing maintenance. This has given me hands-on experience in adapting visual and video content to a brand's communication needs and publishing workflow. MY APPROACH With a background in cinematography, I understand both the decisions made on set and the possibilities available in post-production. Whether I'm editing a commercial, matching footage from different cameras, or developing a visual style for a film, my goal is the same: to create images that feel intentional, cohesive, and true to the original creative direction. I work primarily in DaVinci Resolve and am available for editing, color grading, and projects that require both.
