Good CAD doesn't end with a model. Draft, shrinkage, tolerances, assembly, interfaces, tooling complexity, and how the part will actually be made — these are the problems I solve. With more than 15 years working with SolidWorks and a background in tooling development and manufacturing, I design with a focus on what happens when the CAD leaves the screen. Product Design — FDM products, parametric product generators, snap-fits, magnetic assemblies, functional prototypes, and design iteration. Complex Assemblies — Large multi-part assemblies, real-world interfaces, wheels, tires, structural components, and bicycle development. Organic & Surface Design — Rhino and SubD for complex organic forms, including designs where conventional parametric CAD is not the right approach. Reverse Engineering — Reconstructing usable CAD from scans, degraded geometry, imported models, and existing physical components. Tooling & Manufacturing — Tooling and pattern equipment for rotational molding, sand casting, and vacuum forming. I also design components with injection-molding requirements in mind, including draft, wall thickness, shrinkage, parting considerations, and manufacturability. Drawings & GD&T — Manufacturing drawings, datums, tolerances, dowel-pin locations, fits, and assembly-critical interfaces. Across all of these, the objective is the same: create CAD that can successfully become the real thing.
