Kayla T.

I design learning experiences that actually work — whether that's a standards-aligned K-12 science curriculum, a corporate training module, or a community-based education program built around real learner needs. My background spans instructional design, curriculum development, and educational research. I've written standards-aligned content for Discovery Education, one of the largest K-12 digital learning platforms in the United States, producing NGSS-aligned teaching guides across multiple grade levels with full learning objectives, hands-on activity design, and differentiated instruction strategies. My community-based research on school garden programs — which involved needs assessment, stakeholder interviews, survey design, and program evaluation — was adopted by a California school district as a curriculum planning tool and is currently under peer review at two academic journals. I bring graduate-level education training (M.Ed. in Secondary Science Education, in progress), Harvard Executive Education certifications in health and wellness coaching, and a B.A. in Environmental Studies to every project. I work across the full instructional design process — from needs assessment and learning objective development through content design, activity creation, and evaluation planning — and I deliver clean, revision-light work on time.
