Kristopher K.

I’m a Landscape Architect licensed in Washington and Idaho and the owner of Timber Drift, a landscape design practice focused on custom residential outdoor spaces that feel connected to the home, the site, and the people who use them. My work brings together outdoor living, planting, materials, and circulation to create comfortable, functional spaces. I consider topography, views, privacy, and existing site conditions to help clients develop a clear vision for their property. For projects in Washington and Idaho, I offer landscape architectural services within an agreed project scope. Outside these states, I offer residential landscape concepts, planting concepts, and visualizations where permitted by state and local requirements. Out-of-state services exclude permit and construction documents, grading and drainage plans, structural details, and other services requiring local professional licensure. My background in landscape construction informs how I design. I understand how materials come together, where challenges can arise during installation, and how early design decisions affect cost, maintenance, and long-term performance. Where appropriate, I also incorporate fire-resilient landscape principles, including thoughtful planting, material choices, and the arrangement of outdoor spaces. I collaborate with homeowners, builders, and design teams to explore options and develop a practical design direction. Whether you’re starting with an undeveloped property or rethinking an existing backyard, I focus on helping you create outdoor spaces that feel thoughtful, inviting, and suited to everyday life. Services include, depending on project location and scope: - Residential landscape concepts and master planning - Outdoor living concepts for patios, gathering spaces, and garden areas - Planting concepts and palettes suited to the climate and maintenance goals - Conceptual 3D models and visualizations - Fire-resilient landscape strategies - Design collaboration with homeowners, builders, and architects - More detailed landscape architectural plans for Washington and Idaho projects, as agreed within the project scope If you’re looking for a design partner who brings creativity and practical construction experience to the process, I’d be glad to hear about your project.
