I build the operating model when a strategic goal exists but the plan to deliver it doesn't yet — the partnerships, reporting rhythm, and follow-through that gets a plan from decided to delivered. I'm especially strong on initiatives related to learning, training, or workforce development, though my operational experience spans well beyond that. With extensive experience, I have ran a 50-person publishing team at Oxford University Press, led multidisciplinary teams across research, learning design, and AI at Pearson, and built a multi-country workforce initiative from scratch at EIT InnoEnergy — coordinating industry bodies, training providers, and standards bodies across seven European markets. What this looks like in practice: • Designed and ran the delivery operating model for a 7-country workforce programme — supplier onboarding, governance, and senior-stakeholder reporting — giving leadership their first real visibility into progress and risk across the full portfolio. • Built a harmonised installer credential from the ground up, reconciling competing national certification requirements into one shared standard, then led its rollout across seven countries. • Led the operational recovery of a publishing function that had lost its senior team — rebuilding processes and role clarity from scratch, and restoring full delivery confidence within the assignment. • Built the reporting structure the European Commission required for a multi-partner grant programme — pulling scattered, inconsistent partner data into one clear evidence base decision-makers could actually act on. I chase blockers before they become visible problems, keep stakeholders aligned without needing formal authority over them, and report clearly enough that leadership hears about progress from me — not by discovering issues themselves.
