Evan W.

I am an academic philosopher currently positioned at a small liberal arts college. I spend most of my time preparing research manuscripts for publication and teaching undergraduate philosophy courses. My research has been published in top-tier journals within my academic discipline, and I received an All-University Graduate Teaching Award from the University of Virginia in 2025. I can assist you at every stage of manuscript preparation, including copywriting; editing; proofreading; formatting; and alignment with editorial standards. While a philosopher by trade, my research overlaps with perceptual psychology, and I have a background in mathematics - as such, I can help you prepare manuscripts in a wide variety of fields and for many different audiences. As a university lecturer, I stay up to date on pedagogical techniques for small (15-20 students) to large (60-120) university courses. I am also familiar with several Leaning Management Systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, D2L, and Moodle. I would be happy to consult with you on any teaching needs you might have. I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Virginia in 2025. Before that, I received my MA in Philosophy from Brandeis University, and a BA in Philosophy and BS in Mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University.
