I'm a Tokyo-based composer and audio engineer, and a native Japanese speaker who has also taught at university level for over two decades (Keio University, Seisen University, Tokyo University of Agriculture). That long academic track record shows up in how I work: structured, detail-oriented, and reliable with deadlines. A less common combination: creative work and structured, entrepreneurial thinking have run side by side for three decades. I've been composing and producing music as a business since 1996, alongside an early background running a technology company and the ongoing university teaching mentioned above — in both Japanese and English. It's a mix that doesn't come up often, and it's part of why clients can count on precision alongside creative judgment. My composition and sound design work spans Japanese festival-dance performance music (YOSAKOI, Eisa), J-pop vocal tracks, and instrumental pieces — from large-group choreography that has to land exact timing and energy cues, to melody-driven pop songwriting. I run my own recording studio, so I can handle composition, arrangement, and audio engineering end-to-end.
