Amal L.

I’m a Technical Project Manager, founder, and former Tech Lead with 18 years of experience delivering software products across startups and large-scale tech companies, including six years at Meta. I help product teams, and engineering organizations turn early ideas, undefined needs, and complex goals into clear requirements, structured plans, and shipped outcomes. At Meta, I led cross-functional engineering initiatives across products and infrastructure used by Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Reality Labs, and Quest. Before Meta, I worked across multiple industries, including web platforms, enterprise applications, booking systems, HR tools, e-commerce, CMS platforms, and client-facing delivery. More recently, I led a 4–6 person engineering team at Letterhead, where I translated product goals into actionable requirements, scoped work, prioritized delivery, coordinated with product/design/leadership, and kept execution moving across SaaS features and integrations. As a founder, I’ve taken products from idea to launch — handling planning, requirements, execution, development coordination, and operations. That experience helps me understand the real trade-offs teams face between speed, quality, scope, and resources. I can help with product discovery, requirements definition, technical project management, roadmap planning, sprint planning, backlog organization, delivery tracking, stakeholder communication, risk management, process improvement, and engineering team coordination. I’m especially effective when a project starts with ambiguity. I bring the product thinking to clarify the need, the project management structure to build a plan, and the technical judgment to help teams ship the right solution.
