Not press-release distribution — the real version: identifying which publications carry weight in a given conversation, finding the angle a journalist will take without being asked twice, and running it through to publication. Reputation. What surfaces when someone types a name is the first thing said about that person, and it gets said whether or not they are there to answer it. I build the material that deserves to rank, and I make sure it does. LinkedIn. I run pages end to end — posts written with the person rather than for them, and the comment layer underneath, which is the half most operators abandon. On one account I run, comments account for 42% of total engagement across the last ten posts, around three times the accounts alongside it. That is not an accident of the writing. It is what happens when replies go out inside the hour instead of in a batch at the end of the day, and when they answer the person rather than perform for the feed. I came out of media and editorial rather than marketing. It means I write toward what someone will finish, and it means I can tell a sentence that will be quoted from one that will be scrolled past.
