Shopify Ops: Inventory, ERP, Landed Cost, Supplier Data | Ex-Operator
I build the back office that runs a Shopify store — inventory, costs, supplier data and integrations. Not themes. Before I automated e-commerce operations, I ran them. Ten years as an operator: I built my own cross-border business from zero to roughly $1M a month on European marketplaces, with a team of 20. We bought across Europe, cleared customs, relabelled and packed SKUs, and shipped into marketplace warehouses. So when I look at your numbers, I read them like a merchant deciding what to do next — not like an engineer reading rows. That background is the reason I solve problems most Shopify freelancers don't touch: - True cost per SKU. Shopify stores one cost figure — the last one somebody typed in. If you import, that number is wrong by 20–40%, because freight, duty and brokerage never got allocated across the line items. No profit dashboard on the market does this. I've been allocating landed cost by weight, volume and value for ten years. - Purchase orders, receiving and supplier data. Stocky shuts down on August 31, 2026 and Shopify has no replacement. I extract supplier records, purchase-order history and cost data before the API goes dark, then rebuild the workflow so nothing is lost. - Supplier feeds. Every supplier sends a different mess — 60 columns with no logic, variants split across rows, dimensions buried in free text. I build the mapping as configuration, not code, so supplier #2 and #3 cost almost nothing to onboard. - Reconciliation with proof. Payouts against orders, invoices against SKUs, price history against what you advertised. Same skill each time: line up two ledgers and leave a dated record of where they disagree. What I've shipped and run in production: Allegro Lister — an AI account manager that runs a marketplace seller's store end to end: it generates and publishes listings through the API, tracks real per-SKU margin using cost data from the accounting system, monitors competitor prices behind bot protection, and packs orders in one click. Under the hood it's the pattern Shopify needs: OAuth → live commerce data → structured decision → write back through the API, with a human approval gate and a kill switch. Freight Matcher — AI triage for a freight brokerage inbox: classify, extract structured data, draft a reply, human approves. Stack: Python, Shopify Admin API (GraphQL, bulk operations), Claude API, Postgres, Cloudflare. Registered company in Poland for clean invoicing. I automate what's expensive, not what's technically interesting. Send me one export — an invoice, a supplier file, a payout report — and within 24 hours I'll show you the result on your own data before you commit to anything.
