Hi, I am Kayla! I am an environmental professional and licensed metallurgical engineer with about 8+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, product environmental compliance, and environmental engineering consulting. I started my career in semiconductor manufacturing, where I developed a strong interest in data. I find joy in collecting, organizing, validating, analyzing, and interpreting data to better understand process trends and support decision-making. Later on, I transitioned into product environmental compliance and environmental engineering consulting, where I found my niche in the environmental field. I worked on projects involving waste analysis and characterization studies, environmental baseline assessments, compliance reviews, conceptual design and planning of landfills, and industrial facility environmental compliance audits. Through these projects, I gained experience across the entire project lifecycle, from planning, implementation support, stakeholder coordination, compliance monitoring, and technical reporting. Currently, I serve as a Sustainability Program Manager for UCBZeroWaste, where I am excited to continue building my expertise on project management and sustainability initiatives while continuously growing within the environmental sector, a field I genuinely enjoy. As I continue to grow, I hope to bring together my experience in environmental work, project management, and data-driven approach to contribute to environmental and sustainability initiatives across various corporate domains, manufacturing industries, and resources sectors.
