Brian E R.

I am a senior C#/.NET software engineer and application architect with more than 20 years of experience building, modernizing, and supporting business-critical software. My strongest work is in desktop and business application development using C#, .NET, WPF, XAML, MVVM, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and cloud-based services. I am especially effective when a project involves complex workflows, legacy systems, database-heavy applications, integrations, reporting, or software that needs to be stabilized and brought up to modern standards. I can help with: * New desktop and web application development * WPF, XAML, and MVVM architecture * SQL Server and PostgreSQL design and optimization * API development and third-party integrations * Legacy .NET modernization * Performance troubleshooting and bug resolution * Business process automation * Technical architecture and code reviews * Reporting and data-driven applications I have led products from early requirements through architecture, development, deployment, and ongoing enhancement. I am comfortable working directly with business users, translating operational needs into technical solutions, and explaining complex issues clearly. My approach is practical and results-focused. I build software that is reliable, maintainable, scalable, and designed around how people actually work.
