Science & Nature Content Writer | Biology, Ecology & Animal Behaviour Background I write about nature, wildlife and science, coming at it from the research side rather than the writing side. Background: Biology BSc, First-Class MSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, and two years working as an ecologist producing technical reports for renewable energy clients in Scotland. I'm not learning this subject as I write about it — it's my day job, so I get the details right and work fast. A few things worth knowing: - My MSc thesis came out of three months of fieldwork at a Canadian wildlife sanctuary, researching wolf-human interactions — written up for sanctuary management to actually use, not just an academic exercise - My current work is the same skill applied weekly: turning field data into reports non-specialists can understand and act on - I host a podcast interviewing academics across different fields, which is a lot of practice explaining technical ideas to people outside the field - Most of my fieldwork is solo, so I'm used to managing my own deadlines without oversight Happy to send writing samples or do a short test piece.
