I design small power and microcontroller boards in KiCad and hand them over ready for JLCPCB assembly: schematic, layout, BOM checked against live stock, every CPL rotation checked, and a test note. Recent Upwork work: - 4-layer, 88-part two-speed PWM motor controller, parts on both sides, JLCPCB Standard assembly, 50-line BOM checked line by line with no substitutes. - Drop-in battery power switch (11.1-14.8 V pack): back-to-back P-MOSFETs that block both ways and survive a reversed battery, tested in ngspice for hot-plug, surge and reverse battery. 5 A stall and 3.1 A continuous at 40 C from a thermal model of the finished copper. JLCPCB package for 50 assembled boards at about $7 each. - USB-C protection front end: port protector, TVS, PTC and LDO, with the TVS chosen on leakage so it does not load the CC lines. What I take on: - KiCad schematic and layout, 2 and 4 layer, with JLCPCB or PCBWay fab and assembly files - Power, battery and protection circuits, simulated in LTspice or ngspice before layout - Pre-fab design reviews: I check your Gerbers, BOM and CPL before you pay for a run - STM32, Arduino and Raspberry Pi firmware in C, C++ and Python, with bring-up on a scope and logic analyzer Electrical engineering student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As IEEE UIUC technical coordinator I run the chapter's KiCad, embedded and soldering workshops.
