Danielle K.

Full-stack developer with over 20 years of experience building web and mobile applications for Air Canada, TVO, and the University of Toronto. Some of what I built at U of T is still in use more than a decade later. I specialize in PHP, React, React Native, and TypeScript, and I'm especially good at work other developers avoid: rescuing, upgrading, and modernizing legacy applications. Every application I've built has been fully accessible, and I've retrofitted legacy applications to meet accessibility standards. I can help with: - Legacy PHP fixes, upgrades, and server migrations (PHP 5 to 8, Yii, Smarty, jQuery, MySQL) - Accessibility audits and remediation (WCAG, AODA; tested with JAWS, VoiceOver, axe, WAVE, and Lighthouse) - Bash and Python scripts for automation, data imports, and data transformation - React, React Native, and Next.js development I work independently, communicate clearly, and deliver maintainable code that lasts.
