I develop, troubleshoot and modernise PHP and Laravel applications. My work starts with understanding the existing system, the required outcome and what must continue working throughout the change. I have 15+ years of professional software engineering experience, working with PHP since 2010 and Laravel since 2016. My experience includes backend development, React interfaces and working across existing production applications. One relevant freelance project involved diagnosing a WordPress/LearnDash learning platform, rebuilding it in Laravel and managing a parallel migration. New enrolments moved to the new platform while students already taking courses continued on the existing system. Custom migration scripts transferred enrolment and completion records into the new data model. I can help with: • Troubleshooting and extending existing PHP/Laravel applications • Backend features, database changes and frontend integration • Laravel and React application development • Phased modernisation and data migration • Ongoing development within an existing team For an existing application, I start with the reported issues, relevant code and constraints. We agree the first deliverable and acceptance criteria before implementation. Where the scope is uncertain, an agreed paid assessment can establish priorities and a practical delivery plan. Tell me what already exists, what needs to change, your deadline and the working-hour overlap you need. I will explain the relevant experience, assumptions and scope before we agree the work.
