Expert Web Developer using modern programming languages and frameworks

Have been using Ruby on Rails since 2010, PHP since 2004, and jQuery since 2006. I use MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB in various projects. I manage a VPS server for personal websites and demo web applications. I am proficient with Ubuntu Server and currently using Linux Mint in my main laptop. My core competency is in the backend side of the application, the business process, and the javascript part of the app to enhance user experience. I will use any themes and designs that have been provided or purchased, as long as it has been in HTML & CSS format, ready to be integrated into the application. Right now, I prefer to use the Ruby on Rails framework rather than other frameworks. Most of my RoR work is to continue existing projects and here I found the real benefits of this framework. As long as the previous developer follows the RoR convention, it will be easier for another developer to pick up where he left off and continue the work. That's why I love using this framework.
