Matt H.
Software Developer and Solutions Architect
Title Senior Full-Stack & AWS Platform Engineer | AI-Assisted Development Overview ( with Claudes help, and polished for presentation purposes): Hi, I’m Matt (I'm a real person). I’m a hands-on software and platform engineer with about 20 years of experience, and I spend most of my time building and fixing production systems on AWS. A lot of my work has been stepping into large codebases I didn’t write and figuring out where the problems are. At SiriusXM I tracked down why listening data was being under-reported for a couple of automakers, which meant digging through a Java/Scala backend and several data pipelines across two teams. I’ve done similar work for Dow Jones, AT&T, Hughes, Jacuzzi, and Northrop Grumman, covering cloud migrations, IoT platforms, search, and data systems. I also build and run my own products. LaunchParts is a B2B manufacturing marketplace I designed, built, and operate end to end, from the frontend and API to payments, deployment, and support. IoTMicroCloud is a platform I built for connected-device management. I’m also co-founder and CTO of Truett, where we work with customers on logistics systems, sales portals, and industrial workflows. My usual stack is React and Angular with TypeScript, Node.js, Python and FastAPI, C#/.NET, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis, AWS and Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions. I use AI tools every day, mostly Claude Code and Cursor, but I review and test everything before it goes anywhere near production. I also run a dedicated dual-GPU workstation with 48 GB of VRAM for local LLMs, RAG, and Stable Diffusion, so I can do AI integration work without sending your data to outside services. I’m happy to work on my own or with your team, vendors, or other freelancers, and I can lead technically or stay hands-on in the code. For review or audit work, I usually get a first write-up on the critical areas to you within a few days, with a fuller report and priorities after that. I’m based in San Diego and work Pacific hours, with flexibility for Central and Eastern overlap. Thanks, --Matt
