Usama M.

I design and scale backend systems that handle real-world load without breaking. With 8+ years of experience, I specialize in Node.js and AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, RDS, EventBridge), building reliable APIs and systems that perform under pressure. My core expertise includes: • Scalable API design and backend architecture • AWS serverless systems (Lambda, RDS, SQS, EventBridge) • Database optimization and performance tuning • Stripe integrations and payment workflows • Debugging production issues (timeouts, retries, bottlenecks) I also bring strong experience in media and streaming systems, including: • Video pipelines and processing workflows • Live and VOD streaming architectures • OTT platforms (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV) • Streaming technologies like FFmpeg and GStreamer I’ve worked on systems involving scheduled uploads, large media handling, and asynchronous processing — where reliability and timing are critical. I don’t just write code — I solve system-level problems. Whether it’s scaling infrastructure, fixing performance issues, or stabilizing production systems, I focus on outcomes that matter. I value clear communication, ownership, and delivering on time. If you need someone who can quickly understand your system and make it faster, more reliable, and easier to scale — let’s connect.
