I am a multi-faceted freelance writer, journalist, blogger whose work has appeared in print and on the internet with bylines in over three dozen publications. I also authored an e-book-for-hire on World War I and was the content manager for ArlingtonCounty.com while it was under ownership of CountyWebsite.com. Although I have covered everything from a presidential rally to county board deliberations to the Scripps National Spelling Bee, much of my reporting is in the human interest vein and I often try to seek human interest angles when doing event reporting. Additionally, I have extensive experience publishing hot-button issues on topics such as biosludge removal, the opioid crisis, gun legislation, and the repeal of DACA. My publishing history has taught me the use of multiple Wordpress, media-friendly, video-compatible, and publishing platforms. In the past several years, I have been branching out to using my blogging and social media expertise to do public and press relations work for a number of small businesses, including Crime Push, Lucid Gems Film Production, Human Resources author Christine Pietschmann, Tandoor Restaurant in Ballston, the Pacers New Balance Running Team, Arlington T-Shirt Quilts, Magellan Music, Cram.com, and Tyson's Art and Learning Center. I am also bilingual and speak Spanish with near fluency. Additionally, I have strong customer service experience as I have worked in the US Census through three stints, Papa John's Pizza, Teavana and Honey Baked Ham. In all of those experiences, I have been singled out for ability to handle customers on the phone.
