My facility with words derives from a love of literature and a background in literature, French, copy editing, and teaching English. Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of texts, from academic papers to blogs to web content to novels. I take care to respect (and when called for, break) the rules of proper grammar and mechanics. I am also familiar with various style guides, including AP, CMoS, APA, and MLA. Though my heart lies in fiction, particularly fantasy and sci-fic, I am equally at home with non-fiction; my particular interest areas include sociology, anthropology, psychology, women's studies, feminist/queer theory, critical theory, environmental issues, and healthy living. However, I welcome all genres and styles of texts.
