Sarah I.

As a published author, I know how important your project is to you. My previous clients and references include best-selling and Oprah Book Club authors, international speakers, academics, religious leaders, bloggers, reality TV stars, literary agents, publishers, and award-winning journalists. If you are stuck on a story or know a part is flat, I know how to help you fix it. If you have finished your story and want to know how it would do in the market, I can tell you. I am a literary consultant, not just an editor or writer. I know how to help you find an agent with a unique, eye catching query, find a line editor that just *gets you*, or navigate the sticky ropes of self-publishing. I have helped dozens of clients find agents or go onto to have successful publishing careers. My rates reflect my advanced degree, my status at Upwork, and over two decades of experience. I offer the following services: Critique or Beta Read: I will read through your book and give you a 3-5 page manuscript detailing possible issues, their fixes, and my general impression of the book. In addition, we can speak about setting up a consultation. Non-fiction Book Proposal Packages: Includes query letter, agent suggestions, consultations, and book proposal of up to 25 pages: book synopsis, author platform, competing titles, marketing proposal, chapter summaries, and proofreading of two sample chapters. Fiction or Narrative non-fiction (like memoir) Agent Query Packages:includes query letter guidance, agent suggestions, consultations, and book proposal of up to 10 pages: plot synopsis, author platform and bio, and editing of two sample chapters. Self-Publishing Consultations: I can hook you up with reputable businesses and freelancers for book cover, interior design, editing, proofreading, etc. Plus give consultations regarding your publishing options, author platform, marketing, or trouble shooting issues. Developmental or Content Editing: See specialized profile for more information Also, please note, due to the confidential nature of my work, I cannot give you more examples than what are available in my portfolio. While I believe my feedback speaks for itself, additional references can be requested.
