I have extensive experience as project consultant and a mechanical design engineer. I have worked for multinational companies such as Manitowoc crane group as a design engineer and Philips as a Mechanical Engineer/Researcher. My experience includes but not limited to the following:- - Experience with designing mechanical systems using 3D CAD software - Experience with FEA analysis, Assemblies, Sheetmetal, 2D detailing, BOM, Hand calculations, rendering and much more - Ability to apply manufacturing and machining processes in design with a strong understanding of common manufacturing processes and machines such as mills, lathes, 3D printing etc - Experience with design processes, product development, root cause analysis and error proofing - Expertise in design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA) - Expertise in taking products from concept to development design to high volume production I am currently setting up a manufacturing workshop which will enable me to test client designs, develop prototypes and final products.
