WAJIH B.
Market Research Analyst | Economist | Financial Expert| PhD
Most research tells you what already happened. I help you discover what others are missing, where the next opportunity is emerging, what could go wrong, and where the money is most likely to be made. If you are investing, entering a market, launching a product, acquiring a company, developing a project or deciding where to grow next, I help answer the questions that matter most: Where is the real opportunity? What unmet needs and pain points are competitors overlooking? Which market gaps and white spaces are commercially attractive? What will customers need next? Which trends are likely to accelerate, weaken or disappear? Where is demand moving? What could this market look like in 3–5 years? Which opportunity offers the strongest risk-adjusted return? And ultimately: Should you invest — and what should you do next? TOP RATED | 100% JOB SUCCESS | $100K+ EARNED | 220+ UPWORK ENGAGEMENTS | 20+ YEARS | 50+ COUNTRIES I am a market research, feasibility, investment analysis and strategy consultant with more than 20 years of experience helping businesses, investors and institutions make high-stakes decisions. My work has supported organizations including UNDP, Adobe, Nike, Aramco, Telenor, the Islamic Development Bank, Tabby, government entities, consulting firms, investors, family businesses, entrepreneurs and growth-stage companies. But my work is not built around producing another conventional market report. It is built around finding the answer behind the data. THE QUESTIONS I HELP CLIENTS ANSWER Where is the market heading before everyone else sees it? Which customer problems remain poorly solved? Where are competitors vulnerable? Which segments are underserved? What products or services are customers actively looking for but struggling to find? Which opportunities appear attractive but are actually weak? Which markets are becoming overcrowded? Which emerging niches have the strongest combination of demand, urgency, scarcity and profitability? What price will the market realistically support? What assumptions are most likely to destroy the investment case? What would need to be true for this opportunity to become highly successful? What happens under base, upside and downside scenarios? What should management do now — not merely what happened historically? This is where I add the greatest value. GAP, WHITE-SPACE & OPPORTUNITY DISCOVERY One of my strongest areas is identifying opportunities that are difficult to see through conventional market research. I examine: Unmet customer needs Recurring customer pain points Underserved market segments Competitor weaknesses Product and service gaps Geographic white spaces Pricing gaps Business-model gaps Distribution gaps Technology disruption Regulatory changes Emerging demand Changing customer behavior New use cases Poorly served niches High-growth adjacent markets Market fragmentation Supply-demand imbalances I then assess whether the gap represents a genuine commercial opportunity or merely an interesting observation. That distinction matters. A market gap is valuable only when customers care enough to pay for it. PAIN-POINT INTELLIGENCE Businesses often begin with a product idea. I prefer to begin with the problem. What frustrates customers? What costs them money? What wastes their time? What creates risk? What are they repeatedly complaining about? What are they forced to tolerate because no better solution exists? What are they building internally because suppliers have failed to provide it? Where are existing products complicated, expensive, slow, unreliable or outdated? Pain-point analysis often reveals opportunities that conventional market sizing misses completely. I connect those pain points to market demand, willingness to pay, competitive intensity and commercial feasibility. PREDICTIVE MARKET INTELLIGENCE Historical data matters. But strategic decisions are made about the future. My research therefore goes beyond describing the current market. Where appropriate, I combine market evidence, historical patterns, economic indicators, technological change, regulation, competitive activity, customer behavior and scenario analysis to assess where a market may be heading. This can include: Market forecasts Demand forecasting Trend acceleration analysis Early-signal identification Technology adoption curves Scenario planning Competitive-response scenarios Base, upside and downside forecasts Sensitivity analysis Market maturity assessment Disruption risk Emerging-category analysis Strategic foresight Predictive opportunity scoring No forecast is certain. The objective is not to pretend the future can be predicted perfectly. The objective is to make better decisions by identifying the forces most likely to shape it.
