I’m a technology professional and full-stack developer with a strong programming background that predates the current AI era. I build software across the stack and have expanded that foundation into ML/AI, prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, and modern agentic systems. I design AI systems that use tools, APIs, RAG, vector databases, search, structured data, and external knowledge to perform useful tasks. I also work with AI evaluation and testing, including evals, evaluation harnesses, prompt testing, model-output assessment, and systematic validation of AI systems. I understand how to build reliable AI workflows and connect models through APIs and AI gateways rather than treating an LLM as a standalone chatbot. Being based in Kenya gives me additional exposure to technology ecosystems that are often overlooked in Western-centric product development. I have familiarity with platforms such as M-Pesa and Flutterwave and the realities of building for mobile-first users and locally relevant payment systems. I speak English, Swahili, and Kikuyu, and have worked with Kamusi International on language-related projects, giving me experience with multilingual data and African language technology. My broader experience spans full-stack development, programming, AI/ML, prompt engineering, agentic systems, RAG, vector databases, AI gateways, evaluation, testing, data annotation, computer vision, NLP, and language technology.
