Flutter and Dart have been my primary stack since 2020, on top of 6 years hands on native iOS before that. I currently lead mobile teams at a software company in Europe and still spend about a third of my week in the code. On Upwork I take hands on work: building features, untangling architecture, and performance. What I do most often • Flutter apps end to end, from requirements through App Store and Play Store release • Performance work. A recent example: tab navigation jank in a production design system, traced to every tinted SVG icon • Architecture for projects that have outgrown their structure. Clean Architecture, BLoC, modularization, shared feature modules reused across several apps • Native iOS, including older Swift and Objective-C codebases that need maintaining or modernizing • REST API design and integration, and building the backend myself when it is small enough to be worth it (Ruby on Rails, Python/Django) • Bluetooth and wearable connectivity, including pairing and data sync between a smart watch and its companion app AI assisted development I use Claude Code daily as part of how I work. The useful part is writing project conventions down as reusable skills so generated code matches the codebase, then reviewing every change before it ships.
