Healthcare Architect | AI | Mirth Connect | HL7/FHIR | HIPAA | Apps
I design and build HIPAA-compliant healthcare apps (web & mobile), AI-enabled clinical platforms, and secure Mirth Connect (HL7/FHIR) integrations for hospitals, clinics, and digital health startups. With 15+ years of experience in Healthcare IT, I help organizations modernize legacy systems while preparing for the future by combining interoperability, compliance, and AI into scalable healthcare solutions. WHY WORK WITH ME - Healthcare domain expertise with deep understanding of clinical workflows, billing, RCM, and provider operations - Compliance-first engineering with HIPAA-aligned design, security, auditability, and data privacy built in - Full-stack execution — I don’t just integrate systems; I build complete healthcare platforms end to end CORE SPECIALIZATIONS HEALTHCARE AI & INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS - AI-enabled clinical workflows and analytics - NLP for clinical notes, documents, and structured data - Predictive insights and workflow automation - AI designed with explainability and compliance in mind MIRTH CONNECT & INTEROPERABILITY (HL7/FHIR) - Mirth Connect channel design, optimization, and long-term support - HL7 v2/v3 message processing (ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, DFT) - FHIR APIs and SMART on FHIR integrations - EHR/EMR, LIS, RIS, HIE, lab, and pharmacy integrations HEALTHCARE APP DEVELOPMENT - HIPAA-compliant web and mobile applications - Provider, patient, and administrative portals - Telehealth and remote care platforms - Secure backend APIs and cloud-native architectures TECHNICAL STACK - Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python, SQL - Frameworks: Next.js, Node.js, .NET Core, React, Flutter - Interoperability: Mirth Connect, HL7, FHIR, CCD/CCDA - Cloud and AI: AWS, Azure, OpenAI APIs, RAG-based architectures SELECTED PROJECT EXPERIENCE - AI-Enabled Pain Management Platform (Painkare.ai) Designed and developed an AI-enabled healthcare platform focused on pain assessment and patient engagement. Built secure, HIPAA-compliant workflows with intelligent analytics to support clinicians and patients while maintaining explainability and data privacy. - Cardiac Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) System Architected and implemented a cardiac RPM platform integrating data from implantable cardiac devices using HL7 interfaces. Worked with data feeds from major cardiac device manufacturers including St. Jude Medical, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, and Biotronik to normalize, process, and securely deliver clinical data to care teams. - EHR Integrations with Epic and Cerner (FHIR & HL7) Implemented interoperability solutions integrating custom healthcare applications with Epic and Cerner using FHIR APIs and HL7 messaging. Built secure data exchange for patient demographics, encounters, observations, and clinical documents using SMART on FHIR and REST-based integrations. - Enterprise Healthcare Interoperability Programs Designed and supported Mirth Connect-based integration engines handling high-volume HL7 traffic across EHRs, labs, pharmacies, and third-party healthcare systems with monitoring, alerting, and fault tolerance built in. I work with both healthtech startups and enterprise healthcare teams, translating complex requirements into secure, maintainable, and scalable solutions. Message me to discuss your healthcare integration, AI, or application development needs.
