Mathan R.

With over 13+ years of experience in web development, I’ve built and optimized a wide range of projects across various CMS platforms — including WordPress and PrestaShop. One of my standout projects was Hitbullseye.com, where I played a pivotal role in developing an online test application supporting 200 to 500 students daily and 5,000+ students monthly — all while ensuring seamless performance. The system efficiently manages a database exceeding 2 million records and 40GB of data without performance degradation — a testament to my expertise in performance optimization and scalability. I also developed a jQuery-based book creation tool inspired by Blurb, designed responsive front-ends with Bootstrap, and maintained version control using SVN. PrestaShop & Decathlon Leadership My PrestaShop eCommerce expertise is extensive — I’ve created custom modules and core function customizations tailored to unique client requirements. As a Technical Leader at Decathlon, I led a team for 3 years on a large-scale PrestaShop project. I spearheaded the upgrade from PrestaShop 1.6 to 1.7 across 30 countries, ensuring smooth migrations and module compatibility. Additionally, I played a key role in developing and integrating an Order Management System (OMS) — the backbone of Decathlon’s warehouse operations. I architected the connection between PrestaShop and the OMS, enabling streamlined order processing and inventory handling — one of the most technically challenging and rewarding achievements of my career. Infrastructure & Cloud Expertise On the infrastructure side, I bring strong AWS cloud management skills, covering EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront to optimize content delivery and scalability for high-traffic sites. I’ve configured CloudFront distributions to boost performance and enhance security, ensuring robust, reliable hosting environments. Beyond development and hosting, I’m well-versed in domain management, DNS configurations, server setups, and email infrastructure — including resolving spam issues and performing software installations. I’m passionate about staying at the forefront of emerging technologies and continuously enhancing my skill set to build innovative, high-performance solutions.
