Top Rated Plus · 300+ Upwork projects · 18,000+ hours · 100% Job Success I'm the WordPress developer clients call when a site is broken, slow, unstable, or hacked — and often the one they keep afterward. I've worked with WordPress since its early years. My background includes Automattic, 10up, and WPMU DEV. I find the underlying cause, fix it properly, and explain what happened in plain English. Today, I combine that experience with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, and tools connected through Model Context Protocol (MCP). I use AI to help investigate issues, analyze code, streamline repetitive tasks, and document fixes. This supports faster turnaround, better-informed solutions, and more proactive website support. I personally review the code, validate findings, and test changes. I currently help support approximately 57 WordPress websites for a U.S. digital marketing agency. I work beyond the WordPress dashboard when necessary, using SSH, WP-CLI, PHP, MySQL, hosting tools, DNS, and Cloudflare to diagnose and resolve problems. WHAT I CAN HELP WITH • WordPress critical errors, PHP errors, and plugin or theme conflicts • Speed, Core Web Vitals, and WooCommerce performance • Hosting, database, and server troubleshooting (503s, out-of-memory, high TTFB) • WordPress migrations and content recovery • Malware cleanup and hacked WordPress recovery • Proactive maintenance and ongoing WordPress support • Gravity Forms, YOOtheme Pro, Elementor, and WooCommerce • New WordPress builds and rebuilds EXPERIENCE YOU CAN RELY ON Several Upwork clients have worked with me for two years or more because I stay responsive, communicate clearly, and solve the underlying problem. Recent technical work includes: • Stabilized a WooCommerce store on a VPS with recurring out-of-memory crashes and 503s — tuned PHP-FPM and MySQL, eliminated the restarts, and delivered a written audit report • Optimized a high-traffic WordPress magazine at the server and caching level, cutting page load and TTFB without a redesign • Completed a two-phase Drupal-to-WordPress migration and redesign, preserving SEO with full redirect mapping and Core Web Vitals checks • Migrated a site to SiteGround and tuned it to a 2.13s full page load, SEO-safe • Cleaned gambling and SEO-spam malware from multiple hacked sites via SSH, hardened them, and kept them clean on follow-up scans • Supported agencies with ongoing WordPress troubleshooting, maintenance, and overflow development HOW I WORK • Diagnose the issue before making changes • Use staging and backups when appropriate • Combine hands-on development with AI-assisted analysis and automation • Review generated code and test changes before considering the work complete • Explain what I found, what I changed, and any recommended next steps • Identify opportunities to prevent recurring issues • Stay available for ongoing support after the immediate problem is solved SUPPORT FOR AGENCIES AND BUSINESSES Need a dependable developer for a portfolio of websites or ongoing help with your own site? I help with maintenance, troubleshooting, migrations, builds, and overflow work. Efficient workflows give me more capacity to support projects while keeping each client's work personally managed. Send me your site URL and a short description of the problem or project. I'll take a look and recommend the next step.
