Chris B.

👋 Hi, I’m Chris! I'm a Senior Web Developer & Designer with 10+ years of experience building websites that work the way they're supposed to - on every device, for every user. Most of what I do is either building something from scratch or stepping into an existing site and making it better: cleaner code, better performance, more consistent design. I've worked across government, nonprofit, and enterprise - so I'm used to real constraints, real stakeholders, and real deadlines. 🌐 Recent Websites Launched ACS Media Kit — WordPress ACS — Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) / HTML / CSS NWF — HTML / CSS AMSA Creative — WordPress ChrisBrooksCodes — Hugo ⚙️ What I’m Great At 🔹 Design & Development • WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager • Static site frameworks (Hugo, Jekyll) • HTML / HTML5 • CSS / CSS3 / SASS • JavaScript / jQuery • Responsive, mobile-first design • Cross-browser compatibility • 508 / accessibility compliance 🔹 Workflow, DevOps & QA • Git-based version control • Build tools (Gulp / Grunt) • Deployment and DevOps support • Performance optimization and debugging • Structured QA with AI-assisted analysis and manual validation • Jira-based collaboration and delivery 🔹 Design Capabilities • High-fidelity mockups and wireframes • Design systems and style guides • UX/UI collaboration with developers and stakeholders • Tools: Sketch, InVision, Zeplin 🚀 Why Clients Choose Me ✅ 10+ years of hands-on experience across government, nonprofit, and enterprise ✅ AI-assisted workflows that reduce turnaround time and overall cost ✅ Developer and designer — fewer handoffs, better results ✅ Former CTO mindset with a strong focus on service and over-delivery ✅ Highly available (typically 9am–3am EST) ✅ Preference for fixed-scope contracts to avoid unnecessary hourly costs ✅ Focused on long-term partnerships, not one-off work 🤝 Previous Clients • Navy Federal Credit Union — UI/UX Development • American Chemical Society — AEM Development, HTML/CSS, UI/UX Design • Catholic Relief Services — CMS Development & HTML/CSS • WestEd — WordPress Development • US Patent and Trademark Office — Drupal Design & Development • The Office of Financial Research — Front-End & Data Visualization • And many other nonprofit, education, and enterprise organizations 💬 Let’s Work Together If you’re looking for a dependable, senior-level partner who can design, build, optimize, and maintain your website efficiently—and do it the right way—I’d be happy to review your project and discuss next steps.
