I started working 16 years ago as an intern, then I discovered quantity surveying, step by step I started to specialized to become the main activity in my career. During my college time, while I was working as an intern, a subject took my curiosity it was about Visual Lisp programming for AutoCAD, it took my attention because I always get interested in computer technology. Few months from starting the subject I could realize its potential, so I started developing some AutoCAD macros in order to improve my productivity and the quality of my work. After that my interest in programming get into the background. I was working as quantity surveyor freelance for construction companies in USA, UK, and Australia, those first freelancing months were very exciting, because the construction system, way of working, bids appearance, software were too different from the ones I learned to use in college as well as commonly used in Spain. But one of those companies offered me a long term relationship, which changes my responsibilities from just doing takeoffs to create a working system to make team workflow easier and improve its productivity; in addition, I designed some reports to make final user life more simple.
