OVERVIEW: For over a decade I have worked in the Data Analysis and Business Intelligence field focused on designing and developing Enterprise Data Platforms and Reporting and Analytics Solutions. Majority of my experience is in utility of the Microsoft Power Platform and other Microsoft tools including Azure, SQL Server, Sharepoint and Office 365. Some of my more advanced skills are in data modeling (Tabular and MDX), Data Warehousing, and DAX & T-SQL scripting. On the front-end or reporting side, I am very fluent in DAX for Power BI, and lately have been linking R and Python into Power BI to enhance the capabilities from both an analytics and a visualization perspective. Experience:- I have worked for large international financial services companies, a big 4 insurance company, construction companies, universities and for the past six years I have been in the consulting industry operating as a senior data engineer with analytics capabilities. Over the years I have always been determined to master foundational theory when I begin learning a new language, methodology or similar, such that I can then apply the knowledge in similar technologies from a variety of vendors - as an example SQL to me is a language to define, control and query Relational Databases, and as such whether it's Microsoft or PostgreSQL - the core rules and best practices remain very much the same, although I do have more Microsoft exposure than other database packages on the market. I'm keen on new challenges, and I have a knack for figuring out how new technologies work. Data is my professional passion, and as such I take tremendous pride in my work as everything I put out as a solution is a direct reflection on me as a professional in the data space. I won't ever send something out without having tested and checked it from all angles to ensure accuracy every single time. I enjoy the process of creating dynamic reports and dashboards and I am particularly strong in DAX.
