Basel is a data scientist, financial engineer, and AI automation specialist. He has extensive experience across Wall Street and Main Street, he most recently left his executive position at American Express where he was the Director of AI & Product Engineering, to focus on his own ventures. He is the CEO of FirmAdapt, which is an AI transformation company that audits businesses to expose operational bloat, wasted spend, and broken processes, then deploys custom AI-engineered solutions to fix them He is also the CEO of Blockcircle, which builds quantitative trading and market intelligence tools for crypto, equities, and macro. He is the Co-Founder of BetterEnrich, an AI-powered multi-stage waterfall data enrichment service to help find you 2X more work, personal emails & mobile phone numbers using 20+ data providers. He has an MBA from Cornell University, an MS in Information Security and Risk Management from Norwich University, a BComm in Computer Network Engineering from Ryerson University, and substantial training in machine learning and artificial intelligence. He has worked for and had leadership roles at Yahoo!, Scotiabank, Goldman Sachs, and American Express.
