12-Year Legal Assistant | Family Law Document Management & Discovery
Looking for a legal assistant who can jump into a messy, document-heavy case and actually get it organized? That's kind of my thing. Hi, I'm Abegail. I've spent the last 12+ years working as a legal assistant, mainly supporting family law attorneys in the US and Australia on big cases with a lot of moving parts. A good chunk of my time goes into document management, organizing case files, renaming and categorizing everything, keeping records updated so attorneys and paralegals aren't stuck digging through folders trying to find one document. I also do a lot of discovery work, which is honestly what I'm best at: Reviewing financial documents like bank/credit card statements, tax returns, paystubs, retirement accounts, and property records Going through and organizing joint/marital assets and liabilities Keeping track of what's been produced and what's still missing Getting documents ready for production On the drafting side, I help prepare discovery responses (Requests for Production, Interrogatories), plus correspondence, subpoenas, motions, and other case documents. I also handle exhibits, putting them together, creating indexes, combining and bookmarking PDFs, and making sure everything is labeled correctly and matches up with the pleadings and filings. If you're not in family law but need help with general admin, I can help there too. Data management, CRM stuff, lead generation, day to day operations, whatever's eating up your time. I've worked closely with attorneys and paralegals for years now, so I'm used to the pace and detail these cases require. Send me a message and tell me what you're dealing with, happy to see if I'm a good fit.
