I've been working in IT and cybersecurity for over 20 years, and honestly I still enjoy the work as much as I did when I started. I've had the chance to work across pretty much every corner of security, from SOC operations, threat hunting, incident response, vulnerability assessments, up to pentesting and GRC, which means I can usually figure out where a problem is coming from, not just patch it and move on. Automation is something I do both professionally and for my own projects. I build workflows, data pipelines, and AI integrations that actually solve problems rather than create new ones. If your tools aren't talking to each other or your team is drowning in manual tasks, that's usually where I can help the most. I hold a Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals certification and a Torq Automation Analyst credential, and I've taught cybersecurity at a Masters level, having learned to cut the jargon and just get to the point of what is needed.
