Mykola D.

Senior Full-Stack / Platform Engineer and Tech Lead / Architect-Implementer with 18+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years in technical leadership roles, spanning architecture, hands-on engineering, and DevOps. Operating at Staff-level scope across architecture, hands-on engineering, and cross-team technical leadership. A cross-role, cross-stack engineer combining deep execution with product thinking and system- level architecture — consistently delivering high-impact results, owning systems end-to-end from code to infrastructure, CI/CD, and production operations, and ensuring features deliver real customer value, are adopted, and fit naturally within the product. Specialize in rescuing, modernizing, and scaling complex brownfield or legacy systems, applying incremental modernization strategies (e.g., Strangler Fig pattern) and evolving them into maintainable, high-performance architectures using modular monolith, microservices, and event-driven approaches. Operate across the full lifecycle — from greenfield development to architecture, implementation, and production operations, as well as brownfield evolution through incremental modernization approaches. Strong focus on improving and optimizing delivery processes, closing gaps, and eliminating inefficiencies. Building environments where engineers take ownership, move fast, and solve real problems — with room for creativity, initiative, and technical exploration. Emphasis on developer and client experience through clear expectations, fast feedback loops, and bidirectional communication. Processes are shaped to fit the business and product — not copied from “FAANG playbooks” without context. AI-first engineer, using AI as a force multiplier while maintaining strict control over architecture, performance, security, and system integrity.
