David M.
Applescript programmer
With a background in graphic design and programming, I have experience in scripting applications from Apple, Adobe, Microsoft and many others using AppleScript. Over 150 professional jobs completed! Scripting can integrate multiple applications to make automated workflows. These can make complex and repetitive tasks much quicker and easier. Given the right parameters, scripts can also make decisions for you as they run. Computers are great at repetitive and boring tasks. Some examples include: • Most applications on the Mac can be automated and integrate with other applications. • Websites – automate a browser (Safari or Chrome) to log into websites, obtain data or submit forms, press buttons, upload and download files. • Organise filing and folders. • Scripts can be activated in many ways including drag and drop, via other programs, attached to a watched folder, script menu or contextual menus in the Finder.
