I traced the cause and restored them without a rebuild. Underneath was a bigger problem: 131 near-duplicate order forms, one per fixture. I replaced them with a single configurator driven by a central product database, plus a spreadsheet upload tool so their product manager applies catalog and pricing changes without a developer.
