Stephen S.

👨‍💻 Well hello there! Thanks for checking out my profile. A little about me: I have nearly 20 years experience as a software developer working for large fortune 500 companies. Now I spend most of my time doing freelance work building Google Apps Scripts projects for clients. I have an eye for design and love building sleek and attractive apps. In my heart I'm half engineer, half artist and love combining the two disciplines to bring an idea to life. Reasons to team up with me: 🎨 Aesthetic designs 🔧 Reliable and long lasting engineering solutions 📱 Automation and workflow improvements ⚙️ User friendly configurations 🔮 Fortune telling for your business! (Okay, okay...I jest, I jest) I specialize in Google Workspace products: ✔️ Google Sheets ✔️ Gmail ✔️ Google Forms ✔️ Google Calendar ✔️ Google Docs ✔️ Google Slides ✔️ Web apps ✔️ etc. I can integrate all of these and other GSuite/GWorkplace products for you as well as creating interfaces to other products outside of Google via APIs. Some commonly requested API connections to various platforms: ✔️ Quickbooks ✔️ Wise ✔️ Stripe ✔️ Zapier ✔️ Webhooks ✔️ OAuth 2 and other authentication schemes I have been able to bring my career as a Full Stack Developer to bear on the Google Workspace/Apps Script environment and deliver solutions to clients that are efficient, tested, and functional. There are many developers that can code a solution that works, but it's also important to find someone that does proper design work and chooses the best out of many possible solutions so the deliverable runs efficiently and has longevity. I can't tell you how many times I've had clients come to me to fix a poorly designed app that needs an overhaul. Given my software and math background I can build just about anything for you if it's possible, and I'm also good at suggesting new workflows, simplifications, and other solutions to streamline your work, and automate as much as possible so you can be creative with your business, and not busy with it. I'd love to hear your needs and challenges and see how I can help you. Give me a shout! Steve A few reviews 📝 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: "Stephen is an absolute ROCK STAR! He is literally the BEST freelancer I have ever used on UpWork over well more than 10 years across multiple companies. We wanted to automate the creation of a daily KPI report we use to monitor our business. We have a team member that was spending 5 hours per day completing it. He was using data pulled from 4 or 5 different software applications. Our team member now spends about 1 hour per day and the other 4 hours per day is automated so he is freed up to work on other things now. We love it and our team member REALLY loves it! Stephen set the appropriate expectations about the project up front. He overcame multiple challenges. He created detailed video instructions for our team on how to use the final KPI and complete the information. He delivered so MUCH more than he promised. This is just the first project of many we will do with him. I didn't know he was the right choice when I hired him because he seemed similar to several others. WOW, he was worlds better than I could have imagined!" "All I can say is WOW! Stephens skills are absolutely incredible the attention to details and execution of this task was 2nd to none. One of the best freelancers we have ever used and will definitely be working with him again! Thanks again Stephen!" "Stephen was simply outstanding to work with and I will 100% be hiring Stephen again for future projects. In this particular project, Stephen was helping my team rebuild a pacing doc used every day by 150 sales professional who generate $200m annually. On top of his expertise, patience and determination to deliver, his biggest strength is his reliability. Stephen will get the job done. This project spanned six weeks and right over the holiday season and Stephen never failed to deliver and in all cases over delivered." "Working with Stephen was a absolute pleasure. He met and surpassed my expectations and added so much valuable input on how to structure things in the best and clearest way. I appreciated the continuous communication throughout and Stephen worked hard to get this involved project completed earlier then expected. Very skilled and a terrific person to work with!! I look forward to working with Stephen in the near future on the next phase of our project. Thank you!!"
