Mechanical engineer with a proven track record of designing innovative products, including advanced production systems implemented at Bosch, building bleeding-edge neurosurgical robots at Ronna Medical, and designing highly advanced optical systems. I've graduated from Croatia's top engineering university (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb), where I've published papers and won a rector's award for my research regarding the benefits of VR in product design. My master's thesis involved developing a Machine Learning model to study the geometry of custom dental abutments. I have industry experience reverse engineering products and designing (and creating production-ready drawings) for sheet metal parts at LASER ING, as well as several freelance projects for clients such as Jarvis Lighting. At Bosch, I developed and successfully implemented a novel tool identification system for a robotic arm, allowing the arm to use a swivel tool changer that it does not support. My primary project at Bosch was developing and implementing a mechanical interface for material exchange between conveyor belts and mobile robot carriers. This included the mechanical design of the system, as well as producing a prototype, wiring it, and writing the code that enables it to function properly. At Ronna Medical, I developed novel robotic tooling for use in surgical applications. Additionally, I have experience in MedTech through my freelance projects with Mosaic Design Labs (medical device design) and DeepEn Imaging (optomechanical design). Previously, I've also worked in a dental lab optimizing DLP and SLM printing processes. Currently, I'm a full-time freelancer. I had the pleasure of bringing several projects from ideation to a working prototype in several industries.
